Our spirit is ‘loving life’, and that's what we do – we work with our taiohi to realise this aspiration.

We provide health and wellbeing services working with local community supports to help taiohi aged 12-24 develop life skills and build strong connections, including their school, employer, whānau, and friends.

Our Real Talk programme in Tāmaki Makaurau is for taiohi aged 12-18 years who need extra support around managing anxiety, depression and/or stress-related behaviours. We also run some groups to meet the needs of taiohi aged 18-24 years. Find out more about Real at www.real.org.nz

The role | Mō tēnei tūranga mahi

We’re looking for a savvy and energised youth worker to join our growing service. If you are passionate about supporting young people to build confidence, resilience and wellbeing, and would like to work with a great team, we want to hear from you.

This is a full-time position based in Manurewa, Auckland. Working hours:

  • Monday, Wednesday, Friday: 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM
  • Tuesday and Thursday: 11:00 AM – 7:30 PM

About You | Mōu:

You’ll be reporting to the Team Coach and working in a team of youth workers.

You will have:

  • Hold a Level 4 New Zealand Certificate in Health and Wellbeing (NZCHW) or a recognised equivalent or be studying towards a recognised equivalent.
  • Previous experience in youth work, social work, mental health and addiction preferred.
  • An understanding of trauma-informed care and working with young people.
  • Hold a current full New Zealand driver’s licence.
  • Hold a current New Zealand first aid certificate or be prepared to obtain one.
  • Have knowledge of, and demonstrable commitment to, the principles of the Te Tiriti o Waitangi.
