Are you an experienced retail manager with a genuine passion for community and a drive to achieve? We are searching for a dynamic leader to take charge of our vibrant Howick store. This exciting Sunday role offers plenty of variety and autonomy, providing you with the opportunity to make a real positive impact!

This role is permanent part-time role working Sunday each week from 9:30am - 2:30pm.

Ideally you would also be available to cover for the Store Manager on other days of the week, if required.

  • Overseeing and managing shop operations and stock levels
  • Drive revenue growth by setting and achieving ambitious sales targets
  • Actively promoting and marketing the store within the local community
  • Managing and maintaining store displays, and setting the pricing of stock
  • Rostering staff, leading and motivating volunteers and staff members
  • Generating monthly reports and forecasting
  • Cultivate a warm, welcoming environment that encourages exceptional customer service

Qualifications

Ko wai koe- About you:

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • At least 2 years of solid experience in retail management, visual merchandising and an interest in second-hand goods
  • Proven experience successfully managing a high-performing team
  • A highly motivated, proactive “can-do” attitude that drives you to identify and act on opportunities for improvement
  • A results-focused mindset, with a passion for success and achieving set targets
  • Ability to recruit, lead and motivate volunteers
  • Great relationship building skills and strong community focus
  • Be at least 18 years of age and have full eligibility to work in New Zealand.
