As a People Business Partner at Citycare Property, you'll be a trusted advisor to leaders, helping them navigate people challenges, grow high-performing teams, and create an environment where people can thrive.

Based in Christchurch, you'll join a collaborative People & Culture team supporting a proudly Kiwi-owned organisation that builds, maintains, and renews the infrastructure and spaces communities rely on every day.

What You’ll Bring to the Table | Ngā Mea ka Mauria e Koe ki te Rūnanga:

We're looking for a confident and commercially minded People and Culture professional who enjoys building strong relationships, influencing outcomes, and helping leaders succeed.

You'll bring:
• Experience in a People Business Partner or Senior P&C Advisory role
• Strong employment relations expertise and knowledge of New Zealand employment legislation
• Confidence coaching and influencing leaders through challenging people situations
• Experience supporting organisational change, performance and workforce planning initiatives
• The ability to balance strategic thinking with practical, people-focused solutions
• Experience working within unionised environments would be advantageous
• A collaborative, positive approach and a passion for creating great employee experiences

What You’ll Be Doing | Ngā Kawenga Takohanga

This role is about helping leaders bring out the best in their people and ensuring our people practices support the future direction of the business.

Partnering closely with leaders across your portfolio, you'll:
• Provide practical HR and people advice
• Coach leaders through performance, employment relations and change-related matters
• Strengthen leadership capability, engagement and team effectiveness
• Support workforce planning, succession and talent development initiatives
• Contribute to collective bargaining activities and union relationships
• Deliver people initiatives that enhance culture, capability and performance
• Help create a workplace where people feel supported, valued and able to do their best work
