Registered Nurse - Regional

We’re looking for an experienced Registered Nurse to join Oceania on a casual basis, working across our Hawke’s Bay villages.

This is a great opportunity for an RN who enjoys variety and flexibility, supporting our teams across multiple sites as needed. You’ll need to be comfortable travelling between our Hawke’s Bay villages, so a current full New Zealand driver’s licence and reliable transport are essential.

As a Registered Nurse with Oceania, you’ll have the opportunity to practice at full scope within a nurse-led service. Your clinical expertise and judgement will play a vital role in providing comprehensive care and support to our residents, wherever you’re working.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Providing nursing support across multiple Oceania villages throughout Hawke’s Bay
• Coordinating the daily care needs of our residents while inspiring and supporting others
• Providing comprehensive nursing assessments and interventions, both independently and collaboratively
• Making critical decisions regarding resident care and demonstrating clinical autonomy
• Building strong connections and relationships with residents, their families and allied health professionals
• Providing leadership, guidance and support to care staff and other team members
• Adapting confidently to different village environments and supporting teams where needed.

What You'll Bring:

• A current New Zealand Annual Practising Certificate
• A full, valid New Zealand driver’s licence and reliable transport
• The ability and willingness to travel and work across multiple Oceania villages in Hawke’s Bay
• Flexibility to work casual shifts across a range of days and times, including weekends and night shifts
• A commitment to delivering excellent resident-centred care
• Previous experience using clinical systems
• Desirable: InterRAI experience, although this is not essential
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Effective time management and the ability to adapt quickly to different environments
• The capability to coach, mentor and support other team members.
