Ko tō tūranga – your role
As Program and Partnerships Lead, you will play a key role in growing Te Rourou’s impact by building meaningful partnerships across One NZ, the philanthropic sector, community organisations and private partners. Working alongside the Head of Foundation, you will help deliver Te Rourou’s leadership programmes, strengthen collaboration with partners, and create opportunities that connect One NZ people with communities across Aotearoa.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is deeply relationship-focused, motivated by developing young leaders, and passionate about creating partnerships that deliver lasting social impact. You will also help lift Te Rourou’s profile, support volunteering and engagement activity, and embed Te Ao Māori perspectives into the way the team works, helping shape a better-connected Aotearoa for the future.
Ko tō mahi – what you’ll do
- Deliver Te Rourou’s core funding programmes across the three strategic pou, supporting strong due diligence, reporting and evaluation to ensure high-quality delivery.
- Support the Head of Foundation to maintain clear accountability and strong programme oversight across all funded initiatives.
- Build and maintain trusted relationships with community partners, co-funding partners and the wider philanthropic sector.
- Lead internal and external engagements and events with Te Rourou’s Community Partners to raise awareness of Te Rourou’s work and impact.
- Support thought leadership activity, including research, articles, presentations and case studies for philanthropic and private sector audiences.
- Help create meaningful volunteering opportunities that connect One NZ people with communities across Aotearoa.
- Contribute to Te Rourou’s commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi by embedding Te Ao Māori perspectives into partnerships, programmes, procurement and ways of working.
Na tōu rourou - what you’ll bring
- Proven stakeholder and partnership management experience across philanthropic and/or private sectors in Aotearoa or internationally
- Experience delivering programmes and projects to a high standard, with tangible outcomes
- Experience developing communications that achieve meaningful outcomes
- Ability to use data and insights to demonstrate impact
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, including preparing and presenting content for internal and external audiences
- A willingness to apply a Te Tiriti / Te Ao Māori lens to your work; conversational Te Reo Māori would be an advantage
- Interest in using AI in day-to-day work, with familiarity in CRM systems such as Salesforce an advantage
- A tertiary qualification in a commercial or communications field would be an advantage
