The function provides specialist marketing and recruitment services across areas including brand and market positioning, market research, targeted performance campaigns, recruitment activity, and partner and channel management.
Te Whiwhinga mahi | The opportunity
We are looking for an experienced Senior Digital Marketing Specialist to join our Digital & Performance team.
This is a hands-on role focused on delivering and optimising digital acquisition campaigns across the University’s priority portfolios. You will bring strong technical expertise across digital channels including Google, Meta and LinkedIn, using performance data, testing and analytics to improve campaign outcomes.
You’ll work across a broad range of campaigns, collaborating with colleagues across Marketing and Recruitment and stakeholders across the University. You will also provide technical guidance to other digital practitioners and work with media agencies, platform representatives and technology partners.
This is a full-time, permanent opportunity currently based at our Newmarket campus. The full salary range for this role is $98,700 - $133,500 - Band H.
We have a structured salary framework with three zones for those developing into the role (developing), fully effective (target) and contributing beyond what is expected of the role (upper). - Planning, executing and optimising paid digital campaigns across Google, Meta, LinkedIn and other digital channels
- Managing campaign performance and budgets to improve conversion and cost efficiency
- Using analytics, attribution and performance data to identify insights and opportunities
- Designing and implementing testing across audiences, creative and channels
- Providing technical guidance and quality assurance to other digital practitioners
- Collaborating with internal stakeholders and external digital partners to deliver effective campaigns

You’re an experienced digital marketing specialist who can step into the role and make an immediate impact. You’ll bring strong technical capability, sound judgement and a collaborative approach, with the ability to work at pace and take ownership of campaigns.
You’ll bring:
- Extensive experience delivering and optimising multi-channel digital campaigns across paid search, paid social, programmatic, display and remarketing
- Strong technical knowledge of digital analytics, attribution, testing and performance optimisation
- Experience managing significant digital budgets and delivering measurable results
- The ability to turn performance data into clear insights and recommendations
- Experience providing technical guidance or mentoring to other digital practitioners, with strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
- The ability to work autonomously, manage competing priorities and adapt to changing needs
