Government & Industry Affairs Specialist

Toyota Motor Philippines is looking for a Government & Industry Affairs Specialist to join our Corporate Affairs Group based in Santa Rosa City, Laguna.

The Government & Industry Affairs Specialist is a member of the Government & Industry Affairs Team that is responsible for handling government relations, public policy, regulatory affairs and industry engagement.

Your role and responsibilities:

• Monitor and analyze political, regulatory, economic, and industry developments that may affect business operations and strategic objectives.
• Build and maintain relationships with government agencies, regulators, LGUs, industry associations, and other external stakeholders.
• Lead coordination and implementation of government-related initiatives, including regulatory compliance, stakeholder engagement, and project monitoring.
• Develop policy assessments, research, and reports to support management decision-making.
• Support customs, importation, and regulatory matters by coordinating with relevant government agencies and stakeholders.
• Represent the company in industry associations, business groups, and advocacy initiatives.
• Oversee donations, sponsorships, and partnership activities with external stakeholders.

Our perfect match:

• You have a bachelor's degree in Political Science, Public Administration, Business Economics.
• Previous exposure to government agencies, industry associations, policy research, regulatory monitoring, or stakeholder engagement is preferred.
• You are capable of obtaining information and identifying key issues and relationships relevant to achieving a long-range goal or vision; committing to a course of action to accomplish a long-range goal or vision after developing alternatives based on logical assumptions, facts, available resources, constraints and organizational values.
• You are capable of clearly conveying information and ideas through a variety of media to individuals or groups in a manner that engages the audience and helps them understand and retain the message.
• You can identify opportunities and take action to build strategic relationships between one's area and other areas, teams, departments, units, or organizations to help achieve business goals.
• You have achieved a satisfactory level of technical and professional skill or knowledge in position-related areas and are keeping up with current developments and trends in areas of expertise.

Skills required:

• Preferably with policy, economic and industry analysis experience
• Excellent English written and verbal communication.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint knowledge.
• Willing to work on extended hours and go on official business trips.
• Must be willing to work in Santa Rosa City, Laguna.
