Software Quality Analyst Lead I

OVERVIEW/GENERAL PURPOSE OF POSITION

The Quality Analyst Lead will be responsible for mainly manual testing using best practices while leading a team at the same time. Automation experience desired.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Perform Functional test, Regression test for API, Web application, Database, Web services.
  • Maintain the health of the QA, Regression, UAT, Training and Demo environment.
  • Assure the release process is tightly managed during SDLC cycle.
  • Analyze and inspect business and functional requirements documents and use cases.
  • Capture, analyze and own defects through resolution.
  • Complete testing effort within timelines and budgets identified by the team.
  • Participate in design reviews, Sprint planning, backlog grooming, sprint reviews and retrospectives.
  • Support the development, maintenance and execution of automated test scripts to improve test coverage and regression testing efficiency.
  • Lead, mentor and provide technical guidance to QA engineers, ensuring adherence to QA standards and best practices, and project timelines
  • Coordinate testing activities, review test deliverables, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful and high-quality software releases.

OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Responsible for compliance with all federal, state and local laws, rules and regulations affecting Company.
  2. Responsible for participating in quality assurance, compliance and in-service and continuing education activities as requested by Company.
  3. Responsible for performing other duties and responsibilities as required.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in software QA/testing, with strong experience in both front-end and back-end testing.
  • Experience with functional, regression, API, web application, database, and web services testing.
  • Strong understanding of SDLC, Agile/Scrum, QA methodologies, and release processes.
  • Experience with defect management, test planning, and requirements analysis.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience leading or supervising a QA team, including mentoring and providing technical guidance.
  • Experience with test automation and automated test scripts is preferred.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Experience in healthcare or other regulated industries is a plus.
