SQA Engineer

Devsinc is looking for a Software QA Engineer to ensure the quality, reliability, and performance of our software applications. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in manual testing, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and a good understanding of software testing processes and Agile methodologies.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and execute test cases based on project requirements and specifications.
• Perform functional, regression, integration, system, and exploratory testing.
• Identify, document, and track software defects using bug-tracking tools.
• Collaborate with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to resolve issues.
• Verify bug fixes and ensure software quality before release.
• Participate in test planning, requirement analysis, and sprint activities.
• Prepare and maintain test documentation, test scenarios, and test reports.
• Perform cross-browser and cross-platform testing where applicable.
• Assist in improving QA processes, testing strategies, and automation practices.
• Ensure software applications meet quality standards and business requirements.

Requirements

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 1–2 years of professional experience in software quality assurance or software testing.
• Strong understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC).
• Good analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering quality software.

Required Skills

• Manual Testing and Test Case Design.
• Functional, Regression, Integration, and Smoke Testing.
• Bug Reporting and Defect Tracking.
• Knowledge of Jira, Trello, or similar project management and bug-tracking tools.
• Basic understanding of SQL and database testing.
• Familiarity with API testing tools such as Postman.
• Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Basic knowledge of Git and version control.
• Exposure to automation testing tools such as Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright is a plus.
