Planning Tower Lead

About the role:

The GBS Planning Tower Lead oversees the GBS Supply planning team. He/She provides guidance, coaching and ensures reliability, service quality and a high performing team culture. He/She fosters continuous improvement and harmonization of processes. He/She ensures continuity, notably through scope management and proper process documentation.

Key responsibilities:

  • Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, promoting teamwork and knowledge sharing among team members.
  • Play an active part in career development of Supply Planning GBS teams.
  • Ensure implementation of a “GBS mindset”, leading by example and creating a community of BC experts.
  • Supports collaboration with the functional management team.
  • Process improvement: Continuously monitor and evaluate effectiveness of systems, tools and processes in supply planning; support functional leads in identifying opportunities, lead process improvement initiatives to streamline and automate supply planning processes.
  • Stakeholder management: Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, including department heads, subsidiaries, and senior management; act as point of contact and escalation for supply planning senior management and report dotted to CSD GBS Director.
  • Conduct transition management and positively influence built-up of GBS planning team in close alignment with CSD GBS Lead and function.
  • Standardize processes so as to service the different country clusters in an harmonized way.
  • Control the scope of activities (e.g. when integrating additional regions/countries).
  • Facilitate the interaction between GBS planning and HR (holidays, performance review agenda, etc...).
  • Foster improvements to the GBS interaction model, acting as a facilitator with customer service, logistics and other GBS teams.
  • Make sure the various GBS planning teams play their role in the monthly S&OP and weekly S&OE drumbeat.
  • Ensure proper process documentation.
  • Be SPOC & voice for Planning GBS towards Global/ Regional Leadership & GBS CSD Lead during & post transition.
  • Identify & channel automation, technology, scope enhancement and improvements to drive yearly GBS efficiency gains in line with planning ambitions.

About you:

  • Master’s Degree.
  • APICS Certification.
  • Fluent English.
  • Experience with team management of minimum 30 team members.
  • 12+ years of experience in supply planning, purchasing, inventory management, and/or logistics.
  • Understanding of the production planning process.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to learn new systems and processes quickly.
  • Solution driven.
  • Good team management skills.
  • Strategic mindset with proven international stakeholder management expertise and good networking skills.
  • Ideally proven track-record of driving and inspiring change, ideally as part of larger GBS or BPO transformation programs.
