Could you be the full-time Procurement Communication Lead in Cluj-Napoca, Romania we’re looking for?

Your future role

Take on a new challenge and apply your communication expertise in a new cutting-edge field and work alongside passionate and fun teammates.

You’ll lead Procurement Communication for a worldwide community of more than 2,500 people. Day-to-day, you’ll help build and deploy the overall communication strategy and objectives related to the Procurement Academy and Global Communication, in line with Alstom Central Procurement yearly objectives.

You’ll specifically improve Global Procurement Communication to share, engage and involve the Procurement community, while building a strong cross-functional network and collaboration with Alstom University, Human Resources, Procurement Leadership Team, and Group & Regional Communication.

We’ll look to you for:

Communication strategy and governance:

• In close collaboration with the Procurement Academy & Communication Manager, define, coordinate and deploy the Global Procurement Communication Strategy in alignment with Procurement priorities, business objectives and transformation initiatives.

• Act as the primary communication interface between Procurement, Group Communications, Procurement Excellence, Regions, Domains, Product Lines and key business stakeholders.

• Lead the end-to-end management of key communication channels and ensure consistency, quality, timing and alignment of Procurement communications.

• Design and deliver engaging internal communication initiatives to strengthen community engagement, improve information sharing and reinforce alignment across the global Procurement organization.

Stakeholder engagement and executive communication:

• Support stakeholder engagement activities, foster collaboration across functions and contribute to the development of strong professional networks throughout the Procurement community.

• Transform complex procurement and business transformation topics into concise, high-impact executive communications that enhance visibility and stakeholder alignment.

• Coordinate leadership communications and support CPO interviews and other executive communication formats.

Events and communication campaigns:

• Contribute to the preparation, communication and promotion of major Procurement events, including Procurement Days, Supplier Days and InnoTrans.

• Coordinate with event companies, suppliers and internal stakeholders when required.

• Develop targeted global communications and communication governance plans for key Procurement initiatives.

Performance and continuous improvement:

• Benchmark communication practices across functions and identify opportunities to continuously improve communication effectiveness and stakeholder engagement.

• Monitor communication performance through KPIs, stakeholder feedback and satisfaction surveys, and drive continuous improvement actions to maximize impact.

Key deliverables:

• Global Procurement Town Halls.

• Procurement Quarterly Flash.

• Procurement InSight interviews.

• Procurement SharePoint & intranet communications.

• Leadership communications and CPO interviews.

• Targeted global communications and Global communication governance plans.

Key interfaces:

• GSE team and worldwide Procurement community (CPO, Domains, Commodities, Product Lines, Regions and Procurement Excellence).

• Procurement Subject Matter Experts, Human Resources, Quality, Finance, Engineering, Group & Regional Communication and Alstom University.

• External event companies and suppliers.

Business School degree or equivalent; an engineering master degree is also relevant.

Communication professional background (5+ years).

Strategy Consulting or a similar strategic communication role; previous experience in a top-tier strategy consulting firm is considered a strong advantage.

Experience of managing multiple stakeholders (Top management, Procurement, Finance, Learning, HR, Legal, Operations, Quality...).

Management of events.

Fluent English and strong international mindset; demonstrate strategic thinking.

French is a plus.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and presentation skills.

Proactive, creative, autonomous, organized and results-oriented.

Ability to innovate and bring forward the right proposals.

Strong stakeholder engagement, relationship-building and networking skills, with the ability to build trust and credibility with management.

Capacity to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.

Strong interpersonal teamwork and active listening skills.

Proficiency in Microsoft 365 and SharePoint tools, leveraging AI and digital communication.
