Data Scientist

Who we are

We are seeking a Data Scientist with a strong academic foundation in Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, or a related quantitative discipline. The successful candidate will combine deep analytical expertise with strong business communication skills, helping stakeholders understand complex analytical insights and convert them into actionable business decisions.
The role requires hands-on experience in statistical modelling, machine learning, predictive analytics, experimentation, and data-driven decision making, with the ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences.

What you'll be doing

• Apply statistical and machine learning techniques to solve complex business problems
• Design, develop, validate, and deploy predictive models and analytical solutions
• Conduct exploratory data analysis, hypothesis testing, segmentation, forecasting, and experimentation
• Translate complex analytical findings into clear business recommendations and executive-level insights
• Engage with business stakeholders to understand objectives, define analytical approaches, and communicate outcomes
• Present analytical results through compelling storytelling, visualisation, and data-driven narratives
• Collaborate with Data Engineering, Product, Technology, and Business teams to operationalise models and insights
• Ensure analytical solutions are robust, explainable, and aligned to business objectives
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of data science methodologies, tools, and best practices

What you'll bring along

• BSc/MSc in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or related field
• Experience: Minimum 4–6+ years of active software engineering or data engineering experience
• Strong knowledge of statistics, experimental design, forecasting, and predictive modelling
• Experience with machine learning techniques, including regression, decision trees, random forests, gradient boosting, clustering, and classification models
• Proficiency in Python and/or R, SQL, and data visualisation tools such as Power BI or Tableau
• Stakeholder Management & Communication
• Ability to translate complex analytical insights into clear business recommendations
• Strong communication, presentation, and data storytelling skills
• Experience influencing decision-making through data-driven insights
• Background in customer, marketing, or digital analytics
• Exposure to MLOps, cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP, Databricks), and GenAI
• Experience working in cross-functional, matrix organisations
• Analytical, curious, and solution-oriented
• Commercially focused with strong stakeholder management skills
