Laboratory Registrar (Clinical Pathology)

Responsible for overall supervision administration of the laboratory maintain guide and safety of laboratory.

Accountabilities

  • Reviewing QC of all laboratory procedures done in the laboratory.
  • Follow up daily, weekly & monthly maintenance of all laboratory equipment and facilities.
  • Revision and signature laboratory tests, making comments and write recommendations for further investigations for patients in need.
  • Checking laboratory inventory, making purchasing orders to different companies and follow delivery of al laboratory requirements.
  • Prepares unit budgets, accountability reports, operating and business plans, interacting with various administrative and medical personnel regarding inter-functional aspects (supplies/equipment, in-service training, cost analysis activities etc.)
  • Checking perfect implementation of the physical, chemical and biological safety policy & procedures.
  • Ensure physical & environmental health conditions of the Laboratory.
  • Consultation with other physicians in all clinics and ER by phone to report high-risk laboratory results for emergency actions.
  • Supervision of the high complexity tests while done by personnel
  • Responsible for the training programs and continuous medical Education for all laboratory staff.
  • Implementation of proficiency testing program and taking any Corrective actions when needed.
  • Annual personnel performance evaluation and documentation.
  • Ensuring a mechanism for resolution of any complaint against The laboratory either from the staff,
  • Public or clients of the Laboratory.

The employee’s duties are not limited to the above-mentioned accountabilities. The manager can assign other duties based on the business need.

  • Working Days : 6 Working Days
  • Days off : 1 Day Off
  • Working Hours : 8 net working hours according to shift schedule approved by head of department.

Job Requirement

Education

  • MD degree in Applied medical science (laboratory section), Registration in Saudi Commission for Health Specialist.

Experience

  • 2 years of practical experience following graduation.

Computer Skills

  • Office & Health Information Systems

Languages

  • English and Arabic (fluent speaking and writing)
