We're now looking for a Finance Manager to oversee the finance function for our Scandinavian business.

Based in either Stockholm or Copenhagen, you'll take ownership of the day-to-day financial operations across the region, working closely with local leadership and our global finance team to ensure accurate reporting, strong financial controls and effective business support.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone ready to step into their first Finance Manager role or an experienced finance professional looking to broaden their responsibilities within an international technology business.

The Opportunity

As Finance Manager, you'll be the go-to finance professional for our Scandinavian operations.

You'll take ownership of the day-to-day finance function across Sweden and Denmark, including financial and management reporting, project accounting, banking and treasury activities, insurance, statutory compliance and financial controls.

A key part of the role will be partnering with project and operational teams to ensure the financial performance of our customer projects is well understood and actively managed. This will include project forecasting, Estimate at Completion (EAC) reviews, milestone reporting, revenue and cost analysis, and providing visibility of project performance, risks and opportunities

You'll have the opportunity to work across multiple legal entities, collaborate with colleagues around the world and contribute to improving finance processes as the business continues to grow.

What You'll Be Doing

You'll be responsible for the financial management of our Scandinavian entities, ensuring accurate reporting and strong financial governance.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing the month-end and year-end close process for the Scandinavian businesses.
  • Preparing monthly management accounts, financial reports and commentary on key movements.
  • Performing balance sheet reconciliations and ensuring the accuracy of financial records.
  • Supporting budgeting, forecasting and financial planning activities.
  • Managing project accounting across the Scandinavian portfolio, including project revenue, costs, margins, accruals and financial performance.
  • Managing cash flow reporting and assisting with treasury activities.
  • Supporting internal and external audits, coordinating documentation and responding to audit queries.
  • Ensuring compliance with local statutory, tax and regulatory requirements.
  • Liaising with external accountants, auditors and tax advisers where required.
  • Preparing VAT and other statutory returns in conjunction with external advisers.
  • Supporting the annual financial statement preparation process.
  • Maintaining strong financial controls and identifying opportunities to improve processes and efficiency.
  • Partnering with operational leaders to provide financial insight and support business decision-making.
  • Working closely with the wider Group Finance team on reporting, systems and continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

About You

You're someone who enjoys taking ownership and takes pride in producing accurate, reliable financial information.

You're equally comfortable preparing reconciliations as you are discussing financial performance with business leaders. You have excellent attention to detail but also understand the commercial context behind the numbers.

You enjoy working independently while building strong relationships across the business and are always looking for opportunities to improve processes and ways of working.

Most importantly, you're ready to take the next step in your finance career within an international, growing technology business.

What You'll Bring

You'll likely have:

  • A professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or local equivalent) or be working towards qualification.
  • Experience as a Senior Accountant, Assistant Finance Manager or similar role.
  • Strong experience preparing management accounts and financial reporting.
  • Solid understanding of month-end close processes and balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Experience supporting external audits and statutory reporting.
  • Good understanding of financial controls and accounting principles.
  • Excellent Excel skills and experience using ERP or finance systems.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work with stakeholders across different functions and countries.
  • Fluency in English. Knowledge of Swedish or Danish would be advantageous but is not essential.
