Assistant Process Engineer

YOUR ROLE

You are responsible for supporting manufacturing operations during assigned shifts by ensuring process stability, resolving technical issues, improving yield and productivity, and maintaining product quality and equipment performance. This role acts as the key engineering support for the production line, working closely with operators, technicians, maintenance, and quality teams to drive continuous improvement and ensure safe, efficient operations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Monitor process performance and production indicators during the shift
  • Identify, investigate, and support resolution of process deviations, defects, and downtime
  • Perform root cause analysis and contribute to corrective and preventive actions
  • Support immediate troubleshooting and recovery of equipment or process issues
  • Track key KPIs such as:
    • Yield
    • Scrap
    • Downtime
    • Cycle time
    • Throughput
  • Coordinate with Production, Quality, and Maintenance teams to resolve technical issues quickly
  • Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and standard operating procedures
  • Prepare shift reports, technical summaries, and handover notes
  • Support implementation of process improvements and changes on the shop floor
  • Participate in shift handover meetings and communicate open issues clearly
  • Assist in validation, qualification, and ramp-up activities when needed
  • Escalate critical issues to senior engineers or management in a timely manner

YOUR SKILLS & EXPERIENCES

  • Experience in a manufacturing or process engineering environment.
  • Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a shift-based production environment.
  • Good understanding of manufacturing processes, SPC, and root cause analysis.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
