Senior/Manager, Physical Activity

You will be part of HPB’s Physical Activity Department, within the Physical Activity and Healthy Ageing Division, dedicated to making active living a cornerstone of daily life. The department empowers residents to stay active by providing the knowledge, opportunities, and support needed to build sustainable habits. The department designs and delivers impactful programmes, from physical activity initiatives to literacy and community-driven efforts, ensuring residents have the knowledge and opportunities to stay active. By partnering with government agencies, industry leaders, and key stakeholders, it expands access to inclusive, high-quality physical activity options across daily routines and leisure time. Grounded in evidence informed, data-driven insights and capability development, the department evolves its strategies and work to drive participation, enhance well-being, and embed active living as a way of life.

[What you will be working on]

As a key member of Physical Activity Division, you will play a key role in shaping Singapore’s fitness landscape by developing a fitness endorsement framework that sets standards for quality and good practices across the industry. You will build and manage strategic partnerships with gyms, studios, and industry bodies, co-creating targeted adoption strategies and marketing efforts that grow the initiative’s visibility. Translating vision into action, you will develop detailed implementation plans with clear milestones, roles, and responsibilities to guide a structured rollout, while establishing monitoring mechanisms and success indicators to track progress and drive continuous improvement.

  • Good analytical skills and attention to details, including the ability to develop new processes for more efficient delivery.
  • Good critical thinking skills who draw on data and research to develop credible, practical standards and solutions.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively manage and address the different needs and expectations of both internal and external stakeholders. Ability to manage multiple-stakeholder effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to communicate effectively with verbal, written and presentation skills to present ideas and concepts.
  • Good Comfortable to navigate ambiguity, with a proactive mindset to identify and implement practical solutions independently
  • Relevant working experience in working in the fitness industry, in roles such as fitness trainer, programme manager or curricular developer, gym and studio manager or fitness project manager

Successful candidates will be offered a 1-year contract
