Senior Accountant

CWS Workwear Slovenia is looking for a Senior Accountant to join our team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for Slovenian statutory and IFRS-based accounting and will report to the Head of accounting for Croatia and Slovenia.

Job Description:
The Senior Accountant will be responsible for maintaining the general ledger, preparing annual financial statements, and ensuring compliance with local GAAP and IFRS. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, excellent communication skills, a very good command of English, and experience working with both local GAAP and IFRS.

Responsibilities:
• Maintain the general ledger and prepare financial statements for group purposes
• Ensure compliance with local GAAP and IFRS standards
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
• Assist with budgeting and forecasting
• Manage the accounts payable and accounts receivable

• Act as the main point of contact with Slovenian authorities
• Act as the main point of contact with auditors during the annual audit process
• Prepare monthly Vat reports
• Prepare the annual corporate income tax return
• Provide support to CFO and other members of local and regional management

Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• 5+ years of experience in accounting
• Very good command of English and Slovenian language
• Strong knowledge of local GAAP and IFRS
• Excellent communication skills
• Experience with accounting software, knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics 365 is a plus
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
