Test Lead

We are looking for an experienced Test Lead to join our Automotive team!

In this role, you will lead and shape the quality assurance strategy, define and optimize QA processes, and cooperate with others to ensure delivery quality for our embedded navigation. You’ll play a key role in ensuring the highest level of product quality- a must in the automotive OEM environment.

This position is not just about managing - we need someone hands-on, able to execute tests, support and mentor the QA team members, and work closely with engineering managers, developers, and product stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Quality Assurance Leadership

• Define, maintain, and continuously improve QA strategies and test processes tailored to automotive-grade software
• Manage QA activities within our core product, ensuring alignment with business goals and release schedules
• Own and drive quality at every stage of the development process- from concept to release

Hands-On Execution & Team Collaboration

• Perform manual and automated testing as needed, especially in critical or complex areas
• Support and mentor QA engineers; create learning-oriented team culture
• Work closely with engineering teams to ensure clear requirements, smooth releases, and quick turnaround on defects

Stakeholder Engagement & Product Understanding

• Collaborate with product managers, engineering managers, and business stakeholders to fully understand product requirements and quality expectations
• Ensure that QA priorities align with both immediate needs and long-term product goals, especially for OEM partners

Innovation, AI, and Continuous Improvement

• Drive continuous improvement initiatives in testing efficiency, coverage, and tooling
• Research, propose, and lead the implementation of AI-driven testing approaches
• Stay updated on new tools, trends, and practices in QA and test automation

Requirements

• Proven experience as a QA Lead, Test Manager, or Senior QA Engineer with leadership responsibilities
• Hands-on experience in manual and automated testing of complex systems
• Strong understanding of QA processes, testing methodologies, and test management tools (e.g., JIRA, Maestro Studio, Confluence)
• Experience working in Agile environments (Scrum/Kanban)
• Familiarity with test automation frameworks and scripting languages (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, Python, or JavaScript-based tools)
• Experience in or exposure to automotive software, OEM standards, or other regulated industries is a strong plus
• Business-level proficiency in English, sufficient to engage in customer-facing meetings if needed

Bonus Points For:

• Prior experience integrating AI/ML into QA processes or a strong interest in this area
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools and DevOps environments
• Experience with automotive-specific standards (e.g., ASPICE, ISO 21434)

Minimum salary is 3500€ gross/a month. Final salary depends on your level of seniority.
