We are currently looking for a Drilling & Completion Superintendent to support drilling and completion operations in Suriname.

Job Description

The Drilling & Completion Superintendent will be responsible for ensuring operational readiness, supporting drilling and completion activities, and contributing to the delivery of wells within budget, schedule, HSE, and operational performance objectives.

Key responsibilities include:

• Provide operational support for drilling and completion activities
• Review Drilling & Wells programs and ensure operations are carried out in line with approved programs
• Review Management of Change when required
• Maintain continuous communication with offshore teams and lead daily operational calls
• Review and distribute daily reports
• Coordinate with Logistics to ensure equipment readiness
• Liaise with service companies to ensure personnel and equipment availability
• Participate in lessons learned and performance optimization activities
• Manage, motivate, evaluate, and develop offshore personnel
• Review personnel needs and coordinate workforce planning
• Cascade HSE objectives and ensure drilling, completion, and workover activities comply with safety and environmental requirements
• Ensure compliance with QHSE standards and bridging documentation
• Follow up rig action lists and ensure identified anomalies are closed out in a timely manner
• Contribute to emergency response activities as part of the operational response team

Qualifications

• Technician or Engineering background, Master’s degree in Engineering or equivalent
• More than 5 years of experience as a Drilling & Completion Superintendent or in a similar operational role
• Strong knowledge of offshore drilling and completion operations
• Good experience in deepwater environments
• Good understanding of drilling processes, operational methods, HSE, and well control requirements
• Strong coordination, leadership, and communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple interfaces between offshore teams, logistics, contractors, and service companies
• Fluent English required

Additional Information

• Location: Paramaribo, Suriname, mainly office-based with occasional offshore assignments
• Rotation: 4 weeks on / 4 weeks off
• Working schedule during rotation: 7 days per week, 8 hours per day
• Start date: October / November 2026
• Duration: 24 months
