Part-Time Steward
Working Hours: Approximately 4-hour shifts
Role Overview:
The Part-Time Steward supports the restaurant team by keeping dishes, kitchen equipment and kitchen areas clean and ready for use.
Key Responsibilities:
- Wash and clean dishes, utensils, containers and kitchen equipment.
- Store clean items properly.
- Keep the dishwashing and kitchen areas clean and organised.
- Empty rubbish and support waste management.
- Follow cleaning schedules.
- Assist with general cleaning of kitchen and service areas.
- Follow hygiene and workplace safety procedures.
- Support basic kitchen duties when required.
- Inform the supervisor of damaged equipment or cleaning issues.
Requirements:
- Reliable and hardworking.
- Able to work efficiently and follow hygiene procedures.
- Comfortable with physical work and standing for long periods.
- Previous restaurant experience is helpful but not essential.
- Able to work scheduled shifts, including weekends when required.
