General Technician (Service Division)

Job Requirement:

1. Water Treatment: Test pH, chlorine, and alkalinity; add balancing chemicals.
2. Cleaning: Vacuum floors, brush walls, skim surface debris, and clean filter baskets.
3. Mechanical Repair: Troubleshoot, fix, or replace pumps, filters, heaters, and chlorinators.
4. Structural/Plumbing: Patch shell leaks, repair PVC pipes, and swap underwater lights.
5. Reporting: Log chemical readings, completed task, parts used, daily check list and Preventive maintenance.

Position Specific Skills:

1. (Water Chemistry & Testing)

a. Chemical balance: Test and adjust pH, free/total chlorine, total alkalinity, calcium hardness, and cyanuric acid.
b. Sanitization protocols: Manage salt-water chlorine generators, tablet feeders, and liquid chemical dosing.
c. Testing equipment: Read DPD test kits, photometers, and electronic digital testers accurately.

1. (Equipment & Trade Skills)
   a. Hydraulics & Plumbing: PVC gluing, pressure testing, valve replacement, and priming pool pumps.
   b. Filtration systems: Service sand, cartridge, and DE (diatomaceous earth) filters.
   c. Heating & Electrical: Troubleshoot pool heat pumps, gas heaters, underwater lights, and timer/automation panels.
   d. Structure care: Patch vinyl liners, seal minor concrete/plaster cracks, and replace tile grout.

2. (Compliance & Safety)
   a. Health codes: Apply local public/private health department safety regulations and saturation index targets.
   b. Chemical safety: Handle, store, and transport oxidizers and acids per safety data sheet (SDS) rules.
