Sourcing Center Coordinator

Responsibilities:

  • Organizing warehouse operations and ensuring the proper placement of inventory.
  • Counting, inspecting, and recording incoming materials.
  • Managing inventory receiving and dispatch operations.
  • Monitoring and reporting stock levels.
  • Taking preventive measures to avoid product damage.
  • Ensuring warehouse security and safety.
  • Coordinating loading and unloading operations.
  • Managing and assigning tasks to warehouse personnel.
  • Conducting or overseeing periodic inventory counts.
  • Complying with occupational health and safety regulations and ensuring that all personnel adhere to them.

Requirements:

  • At least a high school diploma; preferably a degree or educational background in logistics, warehouse management, or a related field.
  • At least 3 years of experience in warehouse management.
  • Good knowledge of inventory management principles.
  • Experience operating loading and unloading equipment such as forklifts and pallet trucks is preferred.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications and Logo software.
  • Experience using ERP or Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) is preferred.
  • A valid driver’s license and active driving experience; an SRC certificate is preferred.
  • Ability to deliver materials to suppliers and collect materials from suppliers when required.

Physical and Environmental Requirements:

  • Physical Activity: Requires frequent walking, standing, bending, reaching, and moving around the warehouse. The position may also require occasional climbing, crouching, and working in different warehouse areas to monitor operations and inventory.
  • Manual Dexterity: Requires good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity for handling, counting, inspecting, labeling, organizing, and moving materials and products. May also involve operating warehouse equipment such as pallet trucks and forklifts, where authorized.
  • Vision: Requires good visual ability to inspect materials and products, read labels, barcodes, stock codes, quantities, and inventory records, and identify damaged or incorrectly stored items.
  • Communication: Requires effective verbal and written communication skills to coordinate with warehouse personnel, suppliers, drivers, and other departments. Must be able to give clear instructions, report inventory discrepancies, and communicate operational and safety-related issues.
  • Work Environment: Work is primarily performed in a warehouse environment, which may involve varying temperatures, dust, moving equipment, storage racks, loading and unloading areas, and frequent movement throughout the facility. Compliance with warehouse safety procedures and the use of required personal protective equipment (PPE) are essential.
  • Noise: May be exposed to moderate to high levels of noise caused by forklifts, pallet trucks, loading and unloading activities, warehouse equipment, and vehicle traffic. Appropriate hearing protection should be used where required by workplace safety procedures.
  • Lifting: Requires frequent handling, carrying, pushing, and pulling of materials and products. The position may involve lifting and moving items of varying weights, within established occupational health and safety limits. Proper lifting techniques and mechanical handling equipment should be used whenever appropriate.
