Technical Purchasing Engineer (Ankara Plant)

About this Position

In this position, you will take an active role in indirect purchasing activities, managing sourcing and supplier processes for machinery spare parts and other operational requirements. You will work closely with relevant internal teams and collaborate with local and international suppliers to support efficient and cost-effective purchasing operations.

What you´ll do

• Manage indirect purchasing activities, including machinery spare parts and other operational requirements
• Manage sourcing processes, including supplier identification, RFQs, quotation evaluation, negotiation and supplier selection
• Evaluate supplier quotations from technical and commercial perspectives in collaboration with relevant internal teams
• Identify and develop new and alternative suppliers to strengthen the supplier portfolio and support cost optimization
• Lead negotiations on pricing and commercial terms to improve purchasing efficiency and achieve cost savings
• Build and maintain strong supplier relationships and monitor supplier performance
• Coordinate purchasing activities and commercial discussions with international suppliers and machinery manufacturers
• Manage purchasing activities and related data through SAP and relevant procurement systems
• Support to optimizing of plant spart parts stock level,
• Check to consumption of spare parts routinely and taking preventive actions

What makes you a good fit

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering or a related engineering field
• 3-4 years of experience in purchasing, preferably in indirect or technical purchasing within a manufacturing environment
• Experience in indirect purchasing and spare parts procurement, including supplier sourcing, quotation management, supplier management and commercial negotiations
• Manufacturing or FMCG industry experience is a plus
• Strong negotiation and communication skills with a proactive and results-oriented approach
• Good command of English
• Knowledge of SAP is preferred
• Experience of customs regulations and contracts processing.
