Agronomist (Field Technical Services)

Location: Uganda

Ugandan candidates only (open to all genders, ethnicities, religions and cultural backgrounds).

4.1 Key Responsibilities

● Provide on-the-ground technical support to end customers — from coffee estates and commercial maize farms to smallholder farmers — including product recommendation, application guidance, dosing and safety instructions for coffee, maize, sunflower, beans, banana and horticultural crops.

● Plan and manage field demonstration trials and efficacy trials on core local crops; document results and translate them into locally relevant product positioning.

● Deliver training and technical presentations to farm staff, agro-dealers, retailers,

cooperatives and farmer groups, building local confidence in TrustChem's products.

● Travel intensively across Uganda's growing regions — and periodically regionally within East

Africa — to deliver technical services wherever customers are located.

● Work closely with the Market Development & Customer Service Executive on field visits,

farmer field days, promotional events and trial-site coordination.

● Gather field feedback (crop pest and disease issues, product performance, resistance

patterns) and report to the General Manager and HQ R&D to support product development

and registration expansion.

● Support product registration work with local trial data and technical documentation where

required.

Requirements

4.2 Candidate Requirements

● Ugandan national (open to all genders, ethnicities, religions and cultural backgrounds).

● Bachelor's degree or higher in Agronomy, Plant Protection, Plant Pathology, Entomology or a

related agricultural science.

● 3+ years of field agronomy experience; hands-on experience with coffee, maize, sunflower,

beans, banana or horticultural crops in Uganda is strongly preferred.

● Practical knowledge of crop protection products, their safe and effective use, and field trial

methodology.

● Willing and able to travel extensively in the field — including periodic regional assignments;

a valid driving permit is an advantage.

● Good communication and training skills; comfortable working with commercial farm

managers, coffee estates, agro-dealers and smallholder farmers alike.

● Working English (written and spoken) for reporting to HQ; Mandarin Chinese is an

advantage.
