General Manager

Key Responsibilities

●Own the P&L and overall commercial performance of the company in Uganda, building the business from its current base.

●Design and execute the go-to-market strategy, including brand building, marketing campaigns and channel development for Uganda's key crops — coffee, maize, sunflower, beans, banana and horticultural crops.

● Run a dual-track channel strategy: (1) build and manage a nationwide agro-dealer and

distributor network reaching smallholder farmers; (2) develop direct key-account

relationships with commercial farms, coffee estates, cooperatives and outgrower schemes.

● Secure and grow strategic accounts in the coffee and maize value chains, supported by a

credible local technical service capability.

● Recruit, lead and develop the local team — including market development & customer

service staff, warehouse & logistics management, and agronomists.

● Oversee supply chain management into Uganda (including imports via Mombasa/Dar es

Salaam corridors) and lead the design of the local warehousing solution (self-built vs.

professional third-party logistics).

● Drive and maintain the company's product registration portfolio in Uganda as a core market

asset.

● Act as the primary interface between the Ugandan operation and the Board of Directors;

travel frequently between Uganda and China.

Requirements

Candidate Requirements

understanding of how agricultural inputs are delivered and distributed in Uganda.

● Demonstrated team-building and people-management capability — able to build and lead a

local team.

● Fluency in English (working language with headquarters); proficiency in Mandarin Chinese is

a strong advantage.

● Willingness to travel frequently between Uganda and China.
