Tenure-Track Assistant Professor, Inorganic Chemistry

The Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry at Fordham University invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor of Inorganic Chemistry beginning in Fall 2027 at the Rose Hill campus. Areas of specialization include experimental and theoretical approaches in inorganic chemistry, broadly defined, including coordination chemistry, bioinorganic chemistry, organometallic chemistry, catalysis, and solid-state/materials chemistry.

The successful applicant is expected to establish a strong, externally funded research program that engages undergraduate researchers and leads to publications in peer-reviewed journals. Teaching responsibilities will include inorganic chemistry lecture and laboratory courses, with the possibility of teaching general chemistry or courses aligned with the candidate’s expertise.

Qualifications

Candidates should hold a Ph.D. in Chemistry and have postdoctoral research experience.
