Nursing That Goes Beyond the Traditional Setting
As a PRN LPN at Four Oaks, you'll provide nursing support to youth in our programs while working alongside a team focused on their health, safety, and overall well-being.
This isn't about moving from patient to patient all shift long. You'll have opportunities to build relationships, assess needs, coordinate care, provide education, and help ensure the youth we serve receive the medical support they need.
What You'll Do
You'll use your nursing experience to:
Administer medications safely, accurately, and on time.
Build positive, trusting relationships with the youth in our care.
Assess medical needs and respond appropriately to health concerns.
Provide medical triage and help determine when additional care or intervention is needed.
Coordinate medical, psychiatric, and psychological appointments and services.
Manage physician orders, appointments, and related medical documentation.
Oversee medication management, including proper distribution, storage, and return of prescribed medications.
Maintain accurate and organized medical records.
Provide TB testing within established guidelines.
Help maintain health-conscious practices throughout our programs.
Provide health-related education and training to youth and staff.
Assist with CPR, First Aid, and health education training.
Identify and appropriately report medical, safety, and public health concerns.
Review medication errors and participate in quality improvement efforts.
Provide nursing oversight related to established safety and behavioral protocols.
Assist with periodic on-call needs during daytime and overnight hours.

You will need a license from an accredited practical nursing program to qualify for this position. Prior experience in working with children is preferred. Additional qualification includes:
Ability to work on an on-call rotational schedule.
