Team Leader Enrollment Advisor

Your mission

The Team Leader Enrollment Advisor plays a vital role in leading and implementing strategies to attract a diverse and qualified student population to the college or university, combining strong sales/call center team management with strategic recruitment leadership. Reporting to the Head of Student Recruitment, the Team Leader oversees the recruitment team — including day-to-day sales floor performance — and collaborates with various departments to meet enrollment goals and promote the institution's offerings.

Tasks and Responsabilities

1. Recruitment Strategy and Planning

  • Develop and execute comprehensive recruitment strategies to achieve enrollment targets while aligning with the institution's mission and values.
  • Analyze market trends, demographic data, and competition to identify opportunities for reaching prospective students effectively.
  • Manage local direct sales teams.
  • Work collaboratively with the International direct team to achieve enrollment targets.
  • Accountable for achieving enrollment targets.

2. Team Leadership and Management

  • Lead, mentor, and manage the recruitment team, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations.
  • Foster a collaborative and results-driven team culture that emphasizes student-centered approaches and data-informed decision-making.
  • Run 1:1s, performance reviews, and individual development plans, recognizing and retaining top performers.

3. Call Center Sales Management

  • Manage the daily sales floor operation: lead distribution, speed-to-lead, call volume targets, and follow-up cadence.
  • Monitor core call center KPIs (talk time, contact rate, conversion rate, lead-to-enrollment ratio) and adjust team strategy accordingly.
  • Conduct regular call monitoring/listening sessions with structured feedback to improve pitch, objection-handling, and closing technique.
  • Manage CRM and dialer/telephony tools to ensure accurate lead tracking and reporting.

4. Outreach and Relationship Building

  • Build and maintain relationships with high schools, community colleges, educational agencies, and other key partners to enhance recruitment efforts.
  • Represent the institution at college fairs, conferences, and other events to engage with prospective students and their families.
  • Create and manage all events, open days, campus tours.

5. Marketing and Communication

  • Collaborate with the marketing and communications team to develop compelling messaging and promotional materials that highlight the institution's strengths and offerings.
  • Utilize digital platforms, social media, and traditional marketing channels to reach and engage prospective students.
  • Ensure messaging and scripts used by the sales team are compelling, consistent, and on-brand.

6. Data Analysis and Reporting

  • Collect, analyze, and interpret data related to recruitment trends, application rates, and conversion rates to inform strategic decisions.
  • Prepare regular reports and presentations for senior leadership detailing recruitment progress and outcomes.
  • Include sales/call center performance and pipeline forecasting in reporting to senior leadership.

7. Admissions Process Support

  • Work closely with the admissions team to ensure a smooth and efficient application process, providing guidance on admission requirements, deadlines, and procedures.

8. Diversity and Inclusion

  • Implement strategies to enhance diversity and inclusivity within the student body by reaching out to underrepresented populations and promoting a welcoming environment.

9. International Student Recruitment

  • Develop and manage international recruitment initiatives, collaborating with international partners and organizations to attract and support international students.

10. Enrollment Management

  • Collaborate with enrollment management and financial aid teams to optimize financial aid packaging, scholarships, and other incentives to attract and retain students.

Your Profile

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • Several years of experience in student recruitment, admissions, or related roles within higher education.
  • Proven experience managing a sales team in a call center or high-volume phone sales environment, including hands-on experience as a sales agent prior to leadership.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire others.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Data-driven mindset, with proficiency in data analysis and reporting.
  • Familiarity with enrollment management systems and CRM software.
  • Hands-on experience with CRM and dialer/telephony platforms and comfort managing real-time sales KPIs.
  • Knowledge of marketing and communication strategies, particularly in the context of student recruitment.
  • Understanding of higher education trends, demographics, and the competitive landscape.
  • Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in recruitment efforts.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across departments and engage with external stakeholders.
  • Ability to motivate and retain a team in a high-pressure, target-driven, high-turnover sales environment.
  • Either native English speaker or proficiency level of English competency.
