Gateway Rehab Center (GRC) is hiring a full-time Recovery Specialist for our Withdrawal Management unit in Center Township, PA! In this impactful role, you will provide peer-based support, encouragement, and resource navigation to individuals seeking recovery from substance use disorders. Responsibilities:
- Provide information and opportunities for individuals in recovery to direct their own recovery and advocacy processes.
- Establish supportive relationships with patients that demonstrate dignity, respect, professionalism, and appropriate boundaries.
- Teach and support the development of skills that facilitate successful recovery.
- Promote awareness of available services, treatment options, and community supports.
- Assist patients in accessing resources through referrals to agencies, community programs, and support services.
- Encourage the development of wellness, self-worth, and recognition of personal strengths.
- Support patients in identifying recovery goals and actively participating in their recovery process.
- Document patient interactions and progress in the electronic medical record within required timeframes.
- Participate in individual and group supervision sessions.
- Provide support and encouragement throughout the recovery journey.

Requirements
What Do We Require?
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Understanding of and/or personal experience with addiction and recovery.
Additional Requirements
- Pass a PA Criminal History Record Check.
- Obtain PA Child Abuse and FBI Fingerprinting Clearances.
- Pass a Drug Screen.
- Complete a 2-Step TB Test.
- If living a life of recovery, must attest to a minimum of 18 months in recovery from a substance use disorder.
