  1. JOB PURPOSE:

The job holder will take responsibility for overall management and delivery of the Company’s invoicing process, tax declaration and payment, compliance plans in accordance with group policies and taxation regulations and perform a variety of taxation tasks under purview of finance department, prepares and presents a company's tax projections and tax-saving solutions in accordance with relevant tax regulations, company guidelines and industry requirements

External: Customers, Banks, Vendors, Tax authorities

  1. PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
  • Ensure compliance with tax reporting, filing, accounting, and regulatory requirements.
  • Manage VAT, WHT, Freight Tax reporting, declarations, and tax finalizations.
  • Oversee DTA documentation, submissions, and compliance with tax authorities.
  • Monitor tax risks, audits, regulatory changes, and their business impact.
  • Ensure accurate tax accounting, reconciliations, and month-end/quarter-end tax closings.
  • Maintain effective relationships with tax authorities and external stakeholders.
  • Support annual audits, internal controls, compliance reviews, and special projects.
  • Coordinate with Finance, Legal, and business teams to ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Support Tax Accounting and Invoicing teams in daily operations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Accounting Manager and CFO.
  1. JOB SPECIFICATION
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in Accounting & Finance, including more than 3 years working in multinational companies (MNCs).
  • Experience in the shipping industry is an advantage.
  • Experience with Withholding Tax (WHT); knowledge of Double Taxation Agreements (DTA) is a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting, taxation, and regulatory compliance.
  • Experience with accounting systems, reporting, and data management.
  • Ability to prepare tax-related documentation and official correspondence.
  • Good understanding of commercial and corporate laws.
  • Advanced finance knowledge is an advantage.
  • Ability to balance tax compliance requirements with business objectives.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with stakeholders at all organizational levels and liaise directly with tax authorities.
  • Good command of written and spoken English.
