FP&A Accountant (12-month fixed-term contract)

The FP&A Accountant supports strategic decision-making through financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, management reporting, and financial analysis. The role provides accurate financial insights and reporting support to drive business performance and informed decision-making across the organisation. This position is offered on a 12-month fixed-term contract (FTC) basis.
Financial Reporting & Analysis
- Consolidate, review, and analyse monthly executive reporting packs, divisional budgets, and group budgets.
- Prepare and present consolidated monthly financial performance reports.
- Compile half-year and year-end analyst packs.
- Prepare monthly board reports and management reporting packs.
- Ensure financial records comply with company policies, procedures, and accounting standards.
Financial Planning & Advisory
- Support budgeting and forecasting processes across the group.
- Provide meaningful financial insights and recommendations to support business decision-making.
- Assist management in understanding business performance and key financial drivers.
- Provide financial analysis of operational issues and recommend solutions.
- Liaise with internal and external auditors and provide audit support as required.
Financial Records & Process Improvement
- Maintain accurate financial records and reporting documentation.
- Support reporting system enhancements and template updates.
- Participate in finance process improvement initiatives.
- Assist with reporting automation and efficiency projects.
Business Partnering
- Partner with operational and departmental managers to understand business drivers and financial performance.
- Provide financial guidance to support commercial and operational decision-making.
- Build effective working relationships with stakeholders across the business.
Administrative & Reporting Support
- Maintain financial reporting schedules, templates, and filing systems.
- Ensure reporting deliverables are accurate, complete, and submitted within agreed timelines.
- Prepare, compile, print, bind, and distribute monthly management and board packs.
- Provide general administrative support to the Finance function as required.
Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Commerce, or a related field.
Equivalent 3 year tertiary qualification (ISCED 6) will be considered.
Professional accounting qualifications such as CA (Chartered Accountant) or CIMA (Chartered Institute of Management Accountants) are advantageous
