Stakeholder Manager

The successful candidate will be responsible for the following key performance areas:

  • Develop and manage the implementation of standards, guidelines, systems, processes, approaches, frameworks and plans for the SARB’s stakeholder engagement, CSI and public outreach strategies.
  • Develop the SARB’s price-setter engagement strategy to enhance knowledge and understanding of the SARB’s core mandate of price stability.
  • Assess and drive the improvement of stakeholder engagement maturity levels within the SARB.
  • Integrate and coordinate the stakeholder engagement function across the SARB, ensuring consistent application in approach.
  • Identify, build and manage strategic relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Integrate the stakeholder relations, CSI and public outreach schedule of events and align it with the SARB calendar.
  • Develop and manage relevant communications and marketing campaigns in collaboration with other teams in the Communications Division.
  • Conceptualise, maintain and oversee the SARB’s corporate identity and brand, and ensure the consistent application of defined standards and guiding principles.
  • Manage the day-to-day performance and outputs of the stakeholder management, CSI and public outreach functions.
  • Manage the unit’s resources in an optimal and efficient manner, including team performance and development.
  • Manage the unit’s budget and track funds in an efficient and optimal manner.
  • Conduct ongoing environmental analysis (i.e. social, political and economic) to inform effective stakeholder engagements and oversee the SARB’s biannual corporate reputation survey.
  • Analyse, integrate and report on all aspects related to the stakeholder engagement, CSI and public outreach functions, and to keep the SARB’s executives informed of developments that impact the reputation of the SARB.
  • Identify, mitigate and manage the risks related to stakeholder engagement matters emanating from across the SARB.
  • Manage and ensure compliance with expected standards, policies and procedures, and ensure that all legislative requirements pertaining to stakeholder engagement, CSI and public outreach are followed.

The SARB offers remuneration and benefits commensurate with the level of the position and in line with the market. The level at which the successful applicant will be appointed will depend on his/her competence and experience.

Human Resources Department

To be considered for this position, candidates must be in possession of:

  • a minimum of an Honours degree (NQF 8) in Strategic Communications and/or Marketing or an equivalent combination of education and job-related experience; and
  • a minimum of 8 to 10 years of experience in stakeholder management, communications or marketing.
