Great Southern Bank Graduate Program

Starting your career is a big deal, and our 18-month Graduate Program is designed to help you discover what you’re good at, what you enjoy and where you want to go next.

As a highly valued Graduate at Great Southern Bank, you’ll complete three six-month rotations across different areas of the bank, giving you the chance to explore different teams, build real-world experience and learn how a customer-owned bank works.

Previous professional experience isn’t essential. We’re interested in what you bring -whether that’s experience from university, part-time work, internships, volunteering, extracurricular activities, sport or other team environments.

You won’t just be watching from the sidelines. From day one, you’ll contribute to real projects and challenges, share your ideas and work alongside people who want to see you succeed. Along the way, you’ll learn from experienced colleagues and leaders, connect with other graduates and access structured development, coaching and networking opportunities to help build your confidence, capability and career.

We welcome graduates from all academic disciplines, with rotations shaped by your interests and qualifications alongside the needs of our business. Depending on our requirements, we may particularly seek graduates across Technology, Computer Science, Data and Analytics, Finance and Risk.

You’ll make an impact by:

• Completing three six-month rotations across different areas of Great Southern Bank, based on your interests, qualifications and business needs
• Contributing to projects, initiatives and day-to-day activities that deliver better outcomes for our customers and business
• Bringing fresh ideas and perspectives to challenges and helping identify practical solutions
• Building relationships and collaborating with colleagues, leaders and stakeholders across the organisation
• Taking ownership of your work and delivering quality outcomes while learning from the experience of those around you
• Participating in structured learning, development, coaching and networking opportunities throughout the program
• Applying what you learn across each rotation to new challenges and opportunities
• Building the skills and experience to transition into an ongoing career following the Graduate Program

To succeed in our Graduate Program, you’ll bring:

• A completed undergraduate degree, or be working towards completing one, within the eligibility period for the relevant Graduate Program intake
• Curiosity and a genuine willingness to learn, ask questions and embrace new experiences
• Strong problem-solving skills and the confidence to contribute your ideas and perspectives
• A collaborative approach and the ability to build positive relationships with different people and teams
• Adaptability and a willingness to take on new responsibilities, environments and priorities
• Clear communication skills and a customer-focused mindset
• Initiative, accountability and the motivation to take ownership of your work and make a meaningful contribution
