Who are we looking for?

We're looking for a Construction Works Supervisor to work with our client Main Roads WA in Narrogin.

This is a 12-month fixed-term contract, working 42.5 hours per week, supporting the delivery of road construction, maintenance and infrastructure projects across the Wheatbelt region. From time to time, travel and a 10:4 roster may be required depending on project needs.

We're seeking a hands-on construction leader who knows how to run crews, coordinate contractors and keep works moving safely and efficiently. You'll be comfortable working in the field, making decisions, providing direction and building strong relationships with multiple stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered to a high standard.

Working with an energetic and high performing team, this position offers a variety of work and will see you involved in:

• Supervising day-to-day construction and maintenance activities across road and infrastructure projects
• Coordinating contractors, crews and resources to ensure works are delivered safely, efficiently and in accordance with project requirements
• Providing clear direction and leadership to site personnel while maintaining a collaborative and productive work environment
• Monitoring project progress, quality and productivity, resolving issues and escalating risks where required
• Ensuring construction activities comply with relevant safety, environmental and quality standards
• Supporting the implementation of traffic management requirements and safe work practices across active work sites
• Reviewing plans, specifications and technical documentation to support project delivery
• Building and maintaining effective working relationships with contractors, project teams, stakeholders and road users
• Conducting site inspections and verifying works are completed to the required standards
• Contributing to project planning activities and helping identify opportunities to improve delivery outcomes

What you will bring to the team:

• Demonstrated experience supervising construction crews and contractors within civil construction, road construction, infrastructure or maintenance environments
• Proven ability to coordinate multiple work fronts, contractors and stakeholders within an active construction environment
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams, provide direction and manage site activities effectively
• Practical knowledge of road construction, pavement works, asphalt, bituminous surfacing or related civil infrastructure works
• Experience interpreting technical drawings, specifications and construction documentation
• Sound understanding of Work Health and Safety requirements within high-risk construction environments
• Knowledge of traffic management requirements and working within live traffic environments
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to build positive working relationships across diverse teams
• Commitment to quality, environmental and safety standards on construction projects
• Current Western Australian C Class Driver's Licence (or ability to obtain)
