As a Buyer at Molex Connected Enterprise Solutions (CES), you will support the end-to-end purchasing process, build strong supplier partnerships, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the timely and cost-effective delivery of materials and services that support our business objectives.

Our Team

You will be part of the Procurement team within Molex Connected Enterprise Solutions (CES), supporting the delivery of high-performance connectivity and infrastructure solutions across Australia. In this role, you will collaborate closely with Sales, Product Management, Quality, Logistics, Engineering, suppliers, and logistics partners to ensure effective supply chain operations and support customer and business requirements.

What You Will Do

• Execute the end-to-end purchasing process, including creating and managing purchase orders to ensure the timely supply of materials, products, and services.
• Coordinate with suppliers to confirm orders, monitor lead times, and resolve delivery or supply issues.
• Monitor inventory levels and replenishment requirements to maintain product availability while supporting inventory targets.
• Work closely with third-party logistics (3PL) providers, freight forwarders, and transportation partners to coordinate inbound shipments and product deliveries.
• Track orders and shipments, proactively communicate delays, and coordinate corrective actions as required.
• Partner with Sales, Product Management, Quality, Logistics, and Engineering teams to support customer requirements and business priorities.
• Support warehouse and logistics activities by ensuring accurate delivery scheduling, inventory transactions, and shipment documentation.
• Maintain accurate purchasing, inventory, and supplier data within SAP and other business systems.
• Assist with demand planning, forecasting, and supply chain reporting activities.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance operational efficiency, inventory accuracy, and customer service levels.

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

• Bachelor's degree.
• Experience in purchasing, procurement, supply chain, and/or a manufacturing environment.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across all levels of the organisation.
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken.

What Will Put You Ahead

• Experience in the electronics, fibre optics, or copper cable industry.
• Experience working with ERP systems, preferably SAP.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on continuous improvement.
