Join Create NSW and help shape investment that creates opportunities, grows audiences and strengthens the creative sector across NSW. Lead the Creative NSW investment program to grow audiences and strengthen NSW’s creative ecosystem.
About the role
Create NSW supports the people, places, communities and creative work that shape the cultural life of NSW. Guided by the NSW Government’s Creative Communities policy, we invest in a vibrant, inclusive and future-focused creative sector.
We are seeking an experienced Associate Director, Creative NSW to lead the design, management and delivery of Creative NSW funding programs, with a focus on delivering investment to grow audiences and support a more vibrant and sustainable creative ecosystem across NSW.
You will lead programs from design and launch through assessment, funding allocation and acquittal, ensuring investment is transparent, equitable and aligned with government priorities. You will also lead sector and stakeholder engagement, strengthen coordination across government and use data and evaluation to demonstrate impact and inform future investment.

About You
To be successful in the role, you will have:
- Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline or demonstrated equivalent relevant professional experience.
- Demonstrated experience leading end-to-end program design and hands-on project delivery, including developing program frameworks, coordinating implementation, managing stakeholders and evaluating outcomes.
- Strong understanding of funding programs, governance and investment processes within a government or similarly complex environment.
- Demonstrated ability to translate strategic and policy objectives into practical programs that deliver measurable outcomes.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across government, industry and community stakeholders.
