We are seeking an experienced Principal Telecommunications Engineer to provide technical leadership across enterprise and industrial digital infrastructure solutions supporting mining, energy, utilities and industrial projects. This role will lead the strategy, design and delivery of mission-critical OT, communications and site technology systems, including networks, data centres, server infrastructure and integrated operational services.

What You'll Do

  • Provide technical leadership and subject matter expertise across digital infrastructure and operational technology environments.
  • Lead the development of architecture, design standards and technology strategies for LAN, WAN and wireless networking solutions.
  • Deliver infrastructure solutions across the project lifecycle, from concept and FEED through detailed design, construction and commissioning.
  • Develop and review designs for data centres, server infrastructure, virtualisation platforms, storage, backup and disaster recovery solutions.
  • Lead the integration of site technology systems including CCTV, security access control, fire detection, public address and general site communication systems.
  • Support the design and implementation of resilient and secure network infrastructure across corporate and industrial environments.
  • Provide technical assurance, governance and engineering oversight to ensure compliance with industry standards and client requirements.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to clients, supporting infrastructure modernisation, digital transformation and operational reliability initiatives.
  • Mentor engineers, contribute to business development activities and support the continued growth of Worley's digital infrastructure capability.

What You'll Have

  • Significant experience in enterprise IT infrastructure, industrial digital infrastructure or mission-critical technology environments.
  • Demonstrated expertise in LAN, WAN and wireless networking technologies, including network architecture, routing, switching and network security.
  • Strong knowledge of data centres, server platforms, storage systems, virtualisation technologies and infrastructure resilience.
  • Experience delivering integrated site technology solutions such as CCTV, security access control, fire detection, public address and related operational systems.
  • Experience leading complex projects within mining, energy, utilities, industrial or critical infrastructure sectors.
  • Strong understanding of infrastructure cybersecurity principles and the secure design of enterprise and operational environments.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement, consulting and client relationship management skills.
  • Ability to provide technical leadership across multidisciplinary engineering and project delivery teams.
