The role

Symal Group has entered a Joint Venture partnership with the intent to deliver a major utility-scale Solar Farm and Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) project in Victoria.

We're seeking an experienced Senior Contracts Administrator, with a proven track record on renewable energy projects, to play a key role in the successful delivery of this nationally significant project.

Reporting to the Commercial Manager, you'll administer the head contract and subcontract packages, supporting the wider commercial team and engaging with subcontractors, OEMs and key stakeholders.

You'll be responsible for administering variations, claims and contract correspondence both upstream and downstream, and mentoring junior contracts staff, playing a key role in supporting the operational success of the project.

This is a unique opportunity to work on a project of major significance, helping shape delivery strategies and contributing to one of Australia's largest renewable energy developments.

Your everyday

• Administer subcontract packages across solar, BESS, civil, electrical and high-voltage infrastructure works, including procurement documentation and contract execution.
• Prepare and maintain progress claims, payment schedules, cost reports and subcontractor commercial reporting.
• Support and mentor junior contracts administrators within the commercial team.
• Prepare, assess and administer variations and claims of all types, both upstream and downstream.
• Maintain contract correspondence, registers and compliance records upstream with the head contract and downstream with subcontractors.

Who are you?

• Demonstrated Contractor side contract administration experience on utility-scale renewables projects is held in high regard. Wider infrastructure experience may also be considered.
• Understanding and experience with electrical infrastructure, transmission or major infrastructure projects.
• Strong understanding of EPC or PC project delivery, subcontract conditions, progress claims and variation administration.
• Strong understanding of Design & Construct Contracts and Deliverables
• Experience preparing and negotiating subcontract and supply agreement documentation, including with international OEMs.
• Proven experience and track record of major project cost reporting and P&L control including forecasting and cash flows
• Excellent attention to detail, with strong written communication and reporting skills
