What will your typical day look like?
Work you'll do
This role serves as a key bridge between client stakeholders and the internal development team. The BI Delivery Lead translates business needs into technical requirements, enables and supports reporting analysts through active collaboration and guidance, and owns final quality review of completed work. The ideal candidate brings proven Power BI development experience, familiarity with platform administration and governance, and the communication and critical thinking skills needed to drive delivery across distributed teams.
Solution Design & Technical Leadership
- Partner with architects and business stakeholders to define solution approaches, asses feasibility and establish reporting and data strategies
- Shape requirements into actionable delivery plans, ensuring alignment between business objectives and technical execution.
- Provide technical leadership on reporting architecture, data models, visualization standards, and platform best practices.
Stakeholder Engagement & Requirements Translation
- Assist in requirement discovery sessions, translating business needs into detailed technical specifications for the development team.
- Proactively identify and resolve ambiguity, and manage expectations on scope, feasibility, and timelines
Dev Team Enablement
- Clarify requirements in real time with the India-based delivery team, facilitate onshore/offshore working sessions, and ensure the team always has clear, prioritized, unblocked work
- Provide guidance and training to offshore analysts on Power BI standards, DAX patterns, and report design expectations to build long-term delivery capability
Quality Assurance & Delivery Validation
- Own end-of-cycle QA — validating deliverables against design specs, data accuracy standards, and stakeholder expectations
- Document defects, coordinate rework, and serve as the final checkpoint before promotion to production
Power BI Administration & Platform Governance
- Manage workspace organization, access controls, and publishing governance across dev/test/prod environments
- Monitor Premium capacity, track refresh schedules, and work with data engineers to resolve pipeline issues proactively
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with Data Product Owners, the Reporting Manager, and senior architects to translate roadmap priorities into execution-ready work and resolve project blockers
- Contribute to team standards, templates, and requirements frameworks

Qualifications
Must-Have
- 5+ years of Power BI development experience including semantic model design, DAX authoring, and KPI development
- Bachelors’ Degree or College Diploma in a quantitative field or equivalent professional experience
- Experience translating business requirements into technical specifications for a delivery team
- Experience leading or managing teams delivering reporting, analytics or BI solutions
- Proficiency in SQL and working knowledge of relational databases and data warehousing concepts
- Strong understanding of data modeling and star schema design
- Experience with Power BI administration — workspace governance, capacity monitoring, and deployment pipelines
- Proven ability to QA and validate reports against business requirements
- Experience working with distributed or offshore delivery teams
- Exceptional communication skills with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical audiences
Nice-to-Have
- Familiarity with Azure or Microsoft Fabric
- Experience with Databricks
- Experience with Git-based version control in a BI or data context
Total Rewards
The salary range for this position is $85,000 - $156,000, and individuals may be eligible to participate in our bonus program.
