Veterinary Assistant (Maternity Leave)

Full-Time Maternity Coverage for Veterinary Assistant

Pawsitive Veterinary Care is looking for an energetic worker with a passion for animals to assist in day-to-day practice flow.

Maternity coverage starting immediately, contract ending August-December 2027.

Hours are 9am to 5pm Monday/Tuesday/Friday, and 9am to 6pm on Wednesday/Thursday.

Details

The ideal candidate has animal experience, interpersonal skills, strong work ethic, computer skills, and customer service. The role includes the following duties:

• animal restraint and husbandry
• assisting veterinarians, technicians, and clients
• cleaning and sterilization procedures
• laboratory sample handling
• anesthesia and surgical assistance
• customer service: phone calls, client education

Must be confident in animal handling for both cats and dogs.
