Our INVISTA facility in Kingston, ON is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to lead a skilled maintenance team supporting a highly integrated manufacturing operation. In this role, you will partner with Operations to improve equipment reliability, maximize asset performance, and develop the capabilities of a team responsible for safely executing maintenance work across the site.

Our Team
As a Maintenance Supervisor, you will lead a team of skilled trades while working closely with operations, engineering, and other site partners to achieve business results. This team supports a broad range of site services including facility infrastructure, HVAC systems, machine shop operations, insulation services, and grounds maintenance. The maintenance organization supports critical nylon polymer and fiber manufacturing operations and plays an important role in improving reliability, efficiency, and long-term asset performance.
What You Will Do
- Create a positive, team-oriented work environment where employees are empowered to contribute ideas, share knowledge, solve problems, and drive continuous improvement.
- Lead, coach, develop and build talent for a team of 20-25 direct reports by fostering team ownership, capability development, economic decision making, and self-managed problem solving aligned to the company's risk profile.
- Partner closely with Operations to improve line efficiency, reduce downtime, and maximize equipment availability
- Provide technical direction on troubleshooting, repairs, and quality of craft work to drive efficient, high-quality outcomes.
- Apply Lean manufacturing concepts to flow work to completion without interruption. Create a culture where barriers and waste are identified and eliminated.
- Use CMMS and digital tools to manage work orders, track results, and drive data-based decision-making
- Support continuous improvement initiatives that reduce costs, improve reliability, and expand equipment life
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
- Postsecondary education in a relevant technical field or equivalent industrial experience.
- Experience leading and supervising teams, including mentoring and training
- Experience in a manufacturing, industrial or military environment
- Experience applying mechanical knowledge to maintain, troubleshoot, inspect, and repair industrial equipment.
What Will Put You Ahead
- Experience supervising and leading skilled trades or maintenance teams in heavy industrial or manufacturing settings.
- Experience leading teams using Root Cause Analysis methodology to identify and resolve equipment or process issues.
- Experience effectively using computer-based systems including Word, Excel and CMMS (SAP) communicate, monitor, and advance work.
- Experience applying Lean Manufacturing concepts in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
For this role, we anticipate paying a base salary of $80,000 to $120,000 CAD per year. This position is also eligible for variable compensation, which may be paid as a bonus or in another form.
Must be legally authorized to work in Canada. This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship or immigration support.
