Building something great is only half the job. The other half — deciding who it's for, proving it's worth paying for, and making sure it actually catches on — is just as hard, and just as often gotten wrong. This role owns that other half.
You'll take a product from “we think this could work” to “we know it works, and here's the number that proves it.” You'll define who it's for, sharpen how we talk about it, help price it right, run the beta that tells us the truth, launch it, watch what actually happens, and feed everything you learn straight back into what we build next. Nobody hands this role a finished plan. You build it — end to end.
❗This is a full-time, permanent position.
❗This is a new role.
📍 Location:
This is a hybrid role, requiring the successful candidate to work 3 days a week in our Toronto office located at 351 King Street East, Toronto, Ontario.
What you will be doing:
Know the User Before Anyone Else Does
Dig into who a new capability is really for — which users, which behaviors, which unmet need — before the roadmap hardens around a guess
Turn scattered signals (usage data, sales conversations, support tickets) into a sharp, specific point of view on the target user that the whole team can rally around
Shape How We Talk About It
Define the positioning: what this is, why it matters, and why now — the story that has to be true before anyone can sell or explain it well
Make it concrete enough that sales, support, and leadership all end up telling the same story, without needing a script
Price It Like You Mean It
Work through the monetization question early: what's this worth, to whom, and how should it be packaged or priced
Bring real analysis to that conversation — usage patterns, willingness-to-pay signals, comparable value — instead of “what feels right”
Run the Beta That Tells the Truth
Design and run the beta program: pick the right users, define what success actually looks like up front, and resist the urge to declare victory early
Turn beta feedback into a real go/no-go call, backed by data, not enthusiasm
Launch It, Then Actually Watch What Happens
Own the launch and the metrics that tell you whether it's working — adoption, retention, revenue impact, whatever matters for this bet
Build the reporting that makes this visible to leadership without anyone having to ask
Close the Loop
Turn user feedback and post-launch data into a clear, prioritized set of changes for the product team — not just a pile of quotes
Make sure what you learn on this launch makes the next one sharper
What you will bring:
Table stakes
3–5 years of experience touching at least part of this arc already: user research, positioning, pricing, beta programs, or launches
Strong analytical foundation — comfortable with SQL/Excel or equivalent, and genuinely good at turning data into a decision, not just a chart
Excellent storytelling instincts — can turn “here's what the data shows” into a narrative people remember and repeat
What actually differentiates candidates
Comfort owning the whole arc — from “who is this for” to “did it actually work” — instead of one slice of it
A genuine dual fluency: rigorous enough that people trust your numbers, persuasive enough that people remember your story
A bias to ship, test, and learn quickly, rather than wait for a certainty that never quite arrives
Real passion for this kind of work, paired with the autonomy to run with it — you don't need someone checking in to know what's next
Nice-to-have
Background in product management, growth, or product marketing
Experience with monetization or pricing strategy
B2B SaaS or enterprise software experience
