Maintenance Training Coordinator

Position Summary
Reporting to the Maintenance Training Manager (MTM), the Maintenance Training Coordinator plays a key role in ensuring regulatory compliance by developing, issuing or coordinating and monitoring all required department training.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities
• Work with management for the development and maintenance of training programs that meet or exceed the Canadian Aviation Regulation requirements
• Manage the creation, maintenance, uploading, issuance and tracking of Maintenance training in the Company’s online learning management software (LMS) system and facilitate in-person training as needed
• Manage employee qualification groups for Maintenance staff and personnel assigned elementary work training
• Develop and maintain individual training files for applicable personnelScan and upload a hard copy of training files to the LMS as required to ensure that accurate training records are keptMonitor and update as required the maintenance authorization lists (ACA, SCA, ground run authority, elementary work authority, etc.) as directed by the PRM or DOMIssue certificates to all qualified personnel as required
• Monitor and track licences and authorities for all certified personnelAmend the Maintenance Training Manual under the direction of the MTM.
• Coordinate contracted maintenance training as assignedComplete regular qualification checks for all Maintenance staff and personnel assigned elementary maintenance authority and notify PRM of expired training. Facilitate the re-issuance of training and communication with the individual(s)
• Train and/or coordinate completion of elementary maintenance training with the Flight Operations, Ramp and Maintenance divisionsAssist management in investigations requiring training review/amendment or development regarding SMS reports and audit findingsActively participate in the Company’s Safety Management System
• Serve as the department’s RAIC signing authority, responsible for maintaining accurate RAIC records and ensuring that all requirements remain current and compliantPerform additional duties as assigned
Minimum Education, Experience and Certifications
• High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED) equivalent
• Must be able to obtain and maintain any applicable transportation security clearances and additional authorizations
• Experience using Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word)
• Experience with learning management software is considered an asset
• Training and/or Quality Assurance experience is considered an asset
• Indigenous and Cultural Awareness Training considered an asset
Working Conditions
• Physically able to perform all listed job duties
• Travel by aircraft and other means as required by role
• Work performed primarily in an office environment
• Manual dexterity required to use desktop computer and telephone
