DevOps Engineer

Job Purpose

Help increase the speed of delivery in terms of setting technical environments, automating the development operations process, and improve quality of codes in alignment with the various technology pillars.

Description

1.  Work closely with Architecture Lead and Tech Lead to co-design, set up, and operationalize production-ready infrastructure to serve containerized applications
   

2.  Provide Hands-on Planning, Design​, Implementation & Support for container orchestrator platform to facilitate development process
   

3.  Ensure appropriate performance configuration for high availability and scalability
   

4.  Design and develop infrastructure monitoring and reporting tools – to alert and catch spots to improve
   

5.  Develop and maintain configuration management solutions
   

6.  Automate infrastructure provisioning to minimize manual effort in DDC work
   

7.  Design and implement standard software delivery pipeline
   

8.  Define and ensure best practices in software development to steer overall development process
   

9.Deploy and evolve CI/CD tooling providing suitable documentation to speedup software development

10.Follow all relevant department policies, processes, standard operating procedures and instructions so that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner

11.Follow the day-to-day operations related to own jobs in the DDC department to ensure continuity of work.

12.Comply with all relevant CBE regulations, banking laws, AML regulations and internal CIB policies and code of conduct in order to maintain CIB’s sound legal position and mitigate any potential risks.

Qualifications

Qualifications & Experience

§ Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or its equivalent.

§ 3-5 years of relevant experience as a DevOps Engineer in a digital product development setup with the following technical experience;

§ Excellent coding and scripting skills (Bash, Python) and experience in deploying large-scale architectures using modern cloud-based container platforms (PaaS/SaaS).

§ Working knowledge infrastructure provisioning such as Terraform and configuration management such as Ansible.

§ Experience administering production-grade Kubernetes cluster.

§ Experience in continuous integration and related tools (e.g., Jenkins, Artifactory, Nexus, NPM, Maven, Git, Sonarqube).

§ Experience in testing practices for both Apps and APIs with knowledge in provisioning and test data management.

§ Experience as a DevOps or SRE Engineer in a cross-functional Agile team preferred.

§ Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to quickly process complex information and present it in a clear, simple manner.

§ Team collaboration skills to efficiently create innovative solutions.

Strong understanding of Agile methodologies.
