Could you be the full-time Control Centre Operator in Cairo, Egypt we’re looking for?

Your future role

Take on a new challenge and apply your operational expertise in a cutting-edge transportation field. You’ll work alongside a dynamic and collaborative team of professionals.

You'll play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation of the Cairo Monorails system. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (from maintenance staff to operations supervisors), manage critical system operations, and respond to real-time challenges to ensure passenger safety and service continuity.

You’ll specifically take care of overseeing mainline, depot, and ICS (Integrated Control System) operations, but also contribute to emergency management and fault recovery strategies.

We’ll look to you for:

• Supervising and coordinating schedule regulations to meet operational objectives.
• Managing mainline and depot access, train movements, and service build-ups/reductions.
• Implementing Work Authorization Procedures for mainline and depot territories.
• Monitoring CCTV systems and managing radio communications for field and maintenance staff deployment.
• Responding to and managing emergencies and fault recovery strategies.
• Overseeing ICS operations, including power isolation, alarm response, and remote device control.
• Coordinating with emergency services and ensuring effective communication during emergencies.
• Maintaining surveillance of system security and monitoring for unusual activities.
• Providing passenger announcements and ensuring smooth station operations.

• Degree in Transportation, Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience or understanding of control center operations in rail or similar industries.
• Knowledge of safety and operational procedures for rail systems.
• Familiarity with ICS, CCTV, and radio communication systems.
• A certification in operations or safety management is an advantage.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Excellent communication and coordination abilities.
