About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Traffic Engineer to support the planning, design, and implementation of major highway, bridge and road infrastructure projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting traffic studies, forecasting traffic demand, evaluating transportation networks, developing traffic management strategies, and ensuring efficient and safe movement of people and goods.
Responsibilities
- Provide traffic engineering input during feasibility studies, preliminary design, and detailed engineering design.
- Support the development of road signage, pavement markings, and wayfinding systems
- Prepare traffic demand forecasts using established transport planning methodologies.
- Develop future-year traffic projections considering population growth, economic development, and land-use changes.
- Coordinate with project stakeholders
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or Transportation Engineering
- minimum 5 years’ experience in traffic growth analysis, modeling, and intelligent transportation systems, preferably for projects funded by MDBs
- Male or female
- Good communication in English Language
