The Tax Analyst is responsible for ensuring the company's compliance with all applicable tax regulations, supporting accurate and timely tax reporting, and maintaining the integrity of tax-related records and documentation. This role analyzes tax laws and regulatory changes, identifies opportunities for process improvement and tax optimization, and supports audits and interactions with tax authorities. The Tax Analyst works closely with cross-functional teams to minimize tax risks, ensure compliance, and contribute to the organization's financial and operational objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, review, and maintain tax records, tax returns, reports, and related documentation in compliance with applicable regulations.
- Ensure the timely and accurate filing of tax returns and fulfillment of all corporate tax obligations.
- Analyze current tax laws and regulations to identify compliance requirements, improvement opportunities, and tax efficiencies.
- Recommend tax planning strategies and alternatives within the applicable legal framework to minimize risks and optimize tax positions.
- Support tax audits and coordinate responses to inquiries and requests from tax authorities and government agencies.
- Monitor and assess changes in tax legislation and evaluate their potential impact on the organization.
- Ensure the accuracy, consistency, and integrity of financial data used in the preparation of tax filings and reports.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure adherence to tax policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Provide guidance and support on tax-related matters to internal stakeholders when required.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Proven experience in taxation, tax compliance, and corporate tax reporting.
- Strong knowledge of Mexican tax laws and regulations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting/ERP systems.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Results-oriented mindset with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Excellent teamwork, communication, and organizational skills.
