Assistant Stores Manager

Your Role:

Manage day-to-day warehouse operations, including receiving, inspection, storage, picking, packing, and dispatch, with a hands-on approach to warehouse activities.

Ensure timely and accurate preparation and fulfillment of customer orders.

Optimize warehouse layout, space utilization, and storage capacity to improve operational efficiency.

Monitor warehouse productivity and implement continuous process improvement initiatives.

Maintain inventory accuracy through cycle counts, stock reconciliation, and annual stock-taking exercises.

Ensure compliance with company policies, ISO standards, health and safety regulations, and follow up on internal audit corrective actions.

Coordinate effectively with cross-functional departments including Purchasing, Sales, Engineering, and Finance.

Analyze warehouse performance data and develop KPI dashboards to support operational decision-making.

Leverage Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), Business Intelligence (BI) tools, and digital technologies to enhance inventory visibility and workflow efficiency.

Support the implementation and adoption of AI-driven and automation solutions for demand forecasting, inventory optimization, warehouse analytics, and process improvement.

Identify opportunities to utilize data analytics, AI tools, and emerging technologies to improve operational efficiency, resource planning, and customer service levels.

Lead, coach, and develop warehouse staff to foster a culture of safety, accountability, continuous improvement, and digital transformation.

To succeed in this role:

Degree or Diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related discipline.

Minimum 5 years of experience in warehouse, logistics, or operations management, preferably in a contract logistics environment.

Proven experience in team leadership, process improvement, and operational excellence projects.

Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory management, and contract logistics.

Hands-on experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), ERP systems, Microsoft Excel, and Business Intelligence platforms (e.g., Power BI).

Knowledge of AI applications, automation technologies, and data analytics in supply chain or warehouse operations is highly preferred.

Ability to interpret operational data, generate insights, and make data-driven decisions to improve performance.

Familiarity with digital transformation initiatives, warehouse automation, barcode/RFID systems, and inventory tracking technologies.

Good command of Cantonese and English, both written and spoken.

Strong communication, problem-solving, analytical, and stakeholder management skills.

Experience in ISO certification, internal audits, compliance management, and continuous improvement methodologies is preferred.

Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, or other operational excellence frameworks will be an advantage.
