We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as a Data Analytics

In this role you will:

1) Demand intake and shaping (end-to-end ownership)

  • Serve as the single accountable owner for the I&A tooling demand pipeline.
  • Run a consistent intake process (request form/brief, minimum information standards, acceptance criteria, triage approach).
  • Shape demand into well-defined deliverables by clarifying:
  • business problem and target users
  • required capability (tool enablement, access, onboarding, platform enhancement, feature request)
  • dependencies, constraints, and delivery approach options
  • Maintain a transparent backlog with clear status, ownership, milestones, and delivery dependencies.
  • Use centralized platform (e.g. JIRA) to support the management of the demands

2) Prioritisation and governance

  • Drive prioritisation using clear criteria (value, risk/control needs, regulatory commitments, capacity, strategic alignment, reusability).
  • Facilitate demand review and prioritisation forums; document decisions, rationale, and trade-offs.
  • Act as a connector across teams to ensure demand is routed correctly (platform vs product vs engineering vs service enablement).
  • Track the financial (funding, cost estimate, budget and recharge allocation details) of prioritized demands

3) Pipeline analytics, insights and reporting

  • Build and maintain management information (MI) for the demand pipeline, such as:
  • demand volume and themes (by platform / tool, business area, request type)
  • cycle time (intake-to-approval, approval-to-delivery), ageing and stalled items
  • throughput, capacity constraints and recurring bottlenecks
  • rework rates and “failure demand” drivers (e.g., unclear requirements, access/control issues)
  • Turn reporting into insight: recommend and drive changes to improve time-to-value, transparency, and delivery predictability.

4) Stakeholder management and communication

  • Partner with business stakeholders, I&A leadership, platform owners, engineers and service team leads to align expectations and delivery sequencing.
  • Provide crisp, senior-ready updates on pipeline health, priorities, delivery risks and decision points.
  • Proactively manage conflicts in demand and dependency clashes—keeping outcomes moving without creating surprises.

5) Value and adoption focus

  • Ensure requests define measurable outcomes (e.g. productivity, control uplift, improved analytics capability, reduced manual effort, user satisfaction).
  • Track adoption signals where available (usage, onboarding completion, service desk trends) and feed insights back into roadmap and enablement.
  • Identify opportunities to standardise, reuse, and reduce tool sprawl/duplicated demand across B/GI.

6) Risk, controls and responsible delivery

  • Ensure demand is aligned to required controls (data classification, access approvals, auditability, model/tool usage expectations).
  • Raise and manage delivery risks early (security constraints, data residency concerns, licensing limits, platform capacity).

To be successful you will need:

  • Experience in demand management, portfolio management, product operations, or delivery governance in data/analytics or technology platforms.
  • Strong analytical capability—able to convert operational data into actionable insights and influence decisions.
  • Confident stakeholder management across technology and business, including facilitation of prioritisation discussions.
  • Ability to write clear, structured briefs and define “what good looks like” for requests and outcomes.

Desirable

  • Experience in regulated financial services environments with strong control expectations.
  • Familiarity with agile ways of working, backlog management, and dependency management across multiple teams.
  • Experience with benefits realisation/OKRs and adoption metrics for platform or tooling enablement.

Key stakeholders

  • GCIO CTO Data Technology I&A leadership
  • Tool/platform owners (DSW, BI/viz platforms)
  • Engineering, architecture, service management and operations teams
  • Information Security, Risk/Compliance, Data Governance partners
  • I&A Business users and analytics communities
