Senior Lecturer / Lecturer I / Lecturer II

The School of Medicine invites applications for full-time Teaching-Track Faculty positions in the following expertise fields (several posts), expected to begin in Fall 2027.

• Biochemistry
• Pharmacology
• Physiology
• Anatomy
• Microbiology
• Bioengineering

The appointee is expected to teach undergraduate and postgraduate courses offered by the School of Medicine. Teaching duties will include teaching lectures, conducting tutorials and demonstrations, supporting curriculum design, and developing teaching materials. The appointee will also participate in course and curriculum development, advise and mentor students, support project-based and experiential learning activities, provide student-related services. He/She will work closely with a team of colleagues dedicated to the development and delivery of innovative pedagogical approaches to improve student learning and perform any other duties as assigned by the Dean of Medicine or their delegates.

Qualifications

Applicants should have a doctoral degree in the relevant discipline, or a closely related medical discipline, and be able to teach in English. They should possess solid teaching and student mentoring experience in tertiary education (minimum 2-4 years for Lecturer II, 4-6 years for Lecturer I, 6-8 years for Senior Lecturer), excellent communication and organization skills. Experience in teaching interdisciplinary core curriculum courses will be an advantage.

An initial contract will be for two years and is renewable subject to performance review and mutual agreement. Starting salary and years of appointment will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Fringe benefits including annual leave, medical and dental benefits will be provided. A gratuity will be payable upon successful completion of contract.
